Contract Design FAQ

While not all contracts are legally required to be in Thai, contracts submitted to government agencies or courts must have Thai-language versions. For enforceability, we recommend bilingual Thai-English contracts for all significant agreements involving foreign parties.

Enforceability requires offer and acceptance, lawful consideration, legal capacity of the parties, and a lawful purpose. Certain contracts (property sales, leases over 3 years, hire-purchase) must be in writing and may require registration.

Simple contracts can typically be drafted within 3–5 business days. Complex agreements may take 1–3 weeks depending on the number of parties and complexity of terms.
